The VeBiS Alumni Commission was founded in 2006 with the main goal to connect students with the Bio Alumni Association. The first two events organized by the Alumni Commission were the distribution of the "The CELL" textbooks, sponsored by Roche, to 3rd Semester students and a poster session for diploma students, where they had the opportunity to present their work. The focus of the Polymesse, where various companies present themselves to students, is mainly set on technical sciences. To compensate for this poor representation of life sciences, the Alumni Commission provides now a similar event for students of life sciences interested in a career in the industry and business. The Career Day was launched for the first time in 2007. This event proved to be a success and is since organized every year. The PhD Info Event was held for the first time in 2007 to provide master students interested in an academic career with information regarding the different PhD Programs. Unfortunately the Alumni Komission is memberless at the moment. Therefore some projects are taken over by other people from the VeBiS, while others are put on ice at the moment. |
